The coaches have set a tentative spring race schedule. Most spring regattas are on Saturdays. As always with crew, schedules can change, so please look for lots of spring logistics e-mails from Vivian Nazari, our parent liaison, and Lucy Pope, our volunteer coordinator. Please remember that the team practices and races during MCPS spring break.
Save the date for our Spring kick-off bingo fundraising party for parents and coaches, Saturday, March 9 at 7pm. Details to follow. It was a blast last year.
We are excited to go to St. Andrews School in Delaware twice this year. If you have time during the break, watch the 1989 movie with Robin Williams, Dead Poets Society, filmed there. The races we have at St. Andrews are highlights of the year for the athletes and families. The boats go by within yards of our tent on the shore of the school's own pond, and the teams (including B-CC!) are fast. Our amazing parent chefs, Lyle Farmer and Fernando Giacomini, organize all-day breakfast and lunch tent cookouts for everyone that are the envy of crews up and down the East Coast!
On behalf of the parent board, we send you best wishes for a wonderful and peaceful holiday week, Jodie May (President, B-CC Crew Boosters).
